BEST WAY DOWNTOWN:
Train
BASICS
Cleveland-Hopkins is located 10 miles (16 km) southwest of downtown Cleveland.
TAXI
Taxis to downtown Cleveland will cost approximately $16-$20 and take 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.
TRAIN
The Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority has a rapid transit train from the airport station to Public Square (Terminal Tower). Trains leave from airport terminal every 15 to 20 minutes from 4:30 A.M. to 10 P.M. The fare is $1.50, and travel time is 20 minutes.
From Public Square you can take a short taxi ride, maybe $5, to your final destination, several dollars less than taxi fare from the airport. This train is a very good value, has plenty of luggage space and is clean and fast.
SHUTTLE BUS
Hopkins Airport Limousine and Shuttle Bus Service has buses and vans that serve all areas of Cleveland. Their desk is in the baggage-claim area near exit door 6. They have buses to the Akron/Canton area, for example, for $12.75, or to downtown Cleveland for $9 one-way, with frequent departures. You can book a bus upon your arrival, or call 216-362-3795 for information and reservations.
HOTEL SHUTTLE
Aiport hotels, such as the Marriott Airport, have free shuttle vans to the hotel. Use the courtesy telephones just outside of the baggage claim to call your hotel.
RENTAL CAR
All major rental firms have counters at the airport.
