Taxis to downtown Baltimore will take 20 to 30 minutes and cost around $20 depending on the traffic.

There's a free shuttle bus to the airport train station where you can find MARC and Amtrak trains. Look for the signs to the train as you leave the baggage claim.

Light rail trains leave frequently for Baltimore Penn Station. The fare is $1.35. From there, it's just a short taxi ride to any downtown location.

Supershuttle now serves the Baltimore area including Annapolis, Washington D.C., and Howard County. Fares for this shared ride service depend on your destination. Call 800-BLUEVAN for reservations.

All the major car rental firms have counters at BWI. If you plan to travel outside the downtown area, a rental car is highly recommended.
